I'm Ryan Jones, and I have lived in Winnipeg my whole life and absolutely love it! We have a lot of things to be excited about in our city, despite what some nay sayers think, I think we are on a trajectory to become one of the most exciting places in Canada in the coming years. I love how our city is built on diversity, and especially in the last handful of years you can feel the electricity in the air!
I grew up in North Kildonan and as many young kids in Canada, I played a lot of hockey when I was younger. It literally consumed me. Personally I think hockey is a great activity aside from the physical aspect as it teaches you team work, accountability as well as the value of work ethic. You can still catch me at a rink these days yet in a different capacity, as I enjoy coaching my kids and teaching others how to work as a team. I also proclaim to be one of the best arm chair General Managers for the Winnipeg Jets, so if you ever want to talk in depth about the team, let's set aside some time as it will get intense!
I moved to River Heights in the early 2000s and started a family. Personally, I think its a great area as it offers a ton for families and it is also nearly geographically centre of Winnipeg. Everything is close to me!
I have three amazing kids who make me proud every single day. There's a lot of things that I strive to be my best at, but being a great father has and always will be number one to me. I love watching them grow into their own personalities, they make me laugh daily, and definitely bring out a soft side in me that keeps this chaotic world in check! I couldn't do this all without the support of my partner Kalynn. It takes a special person to support a Real Estate Professional through their hectic schedule and she keeps the ship in the right direction with the home and kids, all while thriving in her own career as a Nurse to new moms and babies!
Before my life as a REALTOR®, I spent 12 years at one of the largest Insurance Companies in Canada. I started from the bottom and worked my way into an Information Technology Project Management position. My experience with that company taught me a lot which I carried forward with me. I learned the value of working for a customer, effective communication, delivering what was expected, and pointing out potential problem areas along the way. Thankfully, all of these skills easily translated into the REALTOR® realm.
When I started Real Estate, I worked for one of the other big 3 brand names in Real Estate on a team with Sean Kirady. We consistently produced award winning results and had experience in completing hundreds of Real Estate Transactions. Starting on a team definitely gave me a leg up with the sheer exposure to the amount and types of transactions that would go through my hands. I was fortunate to have such great training and support, and for me it is only fitting that I give back to others.
In 2017 an opportunity arose and Sean opened RE/MAX One Group. We began the journey of building a Brokerage from ground up. I was appointed as the Office Manager and together we have grown the office from a handful of agents to over 50 REALTORS® and 4 full time staff. This has given me an outlet into one of my passions which is teaching what I have learned over the years and helping others grow personally as well.
I am very active in the market place and am always learning and growing in efforts to better serve my clientele and the agents who I support. Helping is my favourite thing to do, my integrity is paramount. and I believe it is always necessary to improve.
Selling Real Estate is as exciting to me today as my first deal I ever closed. I love being in a different environment daily. I take pride in educating my clients to make the right decisions, and the personal aspect of the job is a definite bonus. When you're looking for someone to have your back, I want to be that guy!
