How to give gifts to companions in Star Wars: Old Republic? ›

To give a gift to a companion, all you need to do is have the companion out with you, and right-click the gift from your inventory. How much influence your companion gains when you give them a gift is based on their gift preferences, the rank of the gift, and the rarity of the gift.

Besides being able to buy companion gifts on the GTN, you can purchase Rank 5 Prototype and Artifact gifts (Blue and Purple) from a "Companion Gifts Vendor" in the Galactic Trade Market area on the Fleet.

On top of the companions you earn the through the story and quests, there's also an assortment of companions you can get from the Cartel Market, either with Cartel Coins or bought with credits from other players on the GTN.

Influence is primarily increased by giving gifts to your companion. Each companion has different likes and dislikes.

Romances with class-specific companions after reuniting with them is possible, but only if the player romanced that character before Knights of the Fallen Empire.

On the bottom part of the Character sheet is a Tab Labeled "Companion" Left click this. Open your inventory without closing the companion character sheet ("B" is default). Now either drag and drop the new gear from the inventroy to the character sheet or simply right click the new gear (This includes companion kits).

Star Forge and Darth Malgus are high population. Satele Shan and Tulak Hord are medium population. The Leviathan and Shae Vizla are low population.

Companions will join you regardless of your alignment. However, you can miss 1 (or 2) companions if you make certain choices.

By the end of Taris you already have 6 out of the 9 possible companions to pick. Also, three of them are Jedi, which makes you the player favor them over the others. Which leaves us to the remaing six companions: Zaalbar, Mission, Carth, the cilinder shaped droid, HK-47 and Canderous.

After the distress call, the player can choose “Arcann could be an ally.” to protect Senya and Arcann, or “We should kill them both.” to attack the temple. This choice is not final and you will be able to choose again later in the temple, where you encounter Senya in front of a force field.
